HELP FOR HEROES

Supporting Our Heroes at NEXT 🎖️

We're happy to announce that we have partnered with Help for Heroes.

This partnership aims to support, and contribute to Help For Heroes vital work in increasing the number of veterans and their loved ones they support. We aim to support and raise awareness about the career opportunities available as ex-service and reservists at NEXT and the positive impact their skills have in the workplace.

Help For Heroes will work closely with our Uniformed Services Employee Led Community to help raise awareness of the impact that shared experiences have on individuals and their families.

Together with Help For Heroes, NEXT will help with providing support for families and veterans including physical, mental and financial, giving them one less battle to fight.

At NEXT we recognise the valuable contribution reservists make to our teams and we're here to support them every step of the way. That’s why we’re proud to have signed the Armed Forces Covenant, a promise that those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, are treated fairly.

We are committed to giving reservists at NEXT five days additional paid leave. This leave is specifically designed for them to complete their dedicated reservist duties.

Meet Tom! 👋

Tom is a Senior Infrastructure Engineer at NEXT and is also an Army Reserve in the Armed Forces. He's part of our Uniformed Services Employee Led Community, a place for anyone part of the uniformed services community, military personnel and veterans to come together, share experiences and ideas.

What does Help for Heroes support?

Help for Heroes supports members of the Armed Forces community to live well after service.

There are many ways the Charity helps veterans, their relatives, serving personnel, and people who worked alongside the UK military.

From helping people with their physical and mental health. To giving people the support, skills, confidence, and knowledge to make a success of life in the civilian world.

It’s an injustice that people don’t get a fair deal from the country they risked everything for. Help for Heroes won’t stop until those who served to keep us safe, get the support they deserve.

"We’re proud to partner with NEXT in support of our Armed Forces community. Signing the Armed Forces Covenant shows dedication to improving the lives of veterans and their families, and we will support them in delivering their plans.

We look forward to seeing the amazing fundraising efforts of NEXT employees over the coming year as we work with their network of veterans and colleagues. Together this partnership honours the Armed Forces community and will help us in providing the essential help and support they need.”
James Needham, CEO for Help for Heroes

We are incredibly excited and proud for NEXT to be joining a partnership with Help for Heroes which is the leading Armed Forces and veterans’ charity in the UK. As an employee with Next and Active Army Reservist it’s great to see NEXT supporting the Help for Heroes charity and also signing up to the Armed Forces Covenant which ensures those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces and their families are treated fairly and should face no disadvantage when compared to other citizens.
